It’s so lovely to meet you, I’m Lucie — owner and creative director of Coco in the Country. The studio creates exquisite, natural and somewhat wild floral installations for modern couples.
After a 16 year career in the fashion industry as a footwear buyer, travelling the world, sourcing and developing product for major brands, a quieter, somewhat more country-based lifestyle called.
Still needing a creative output, my flower journey started and I have never looked back. My vision is always to create exquisitely elegant floral design for your wedding day, creating lasting memories to treasure forever.
our approach
Our creative style is elegant and exquisite, with a slightly wild edge. Think just gathered from the garden or picked from a flower meadow.
Using the natural shape of the flowers and foliage we select, we’ll never force anything or make things look unnatural. We love to work with a mixture of feature flowers, complimentary flowers and foliage to produce the natural design that we adore.
The biggest compliment that we ever receive is when someone tells us that they love our style and the flowers that we choose, and that they trust us to create floral magic. The dream!
sourcing flowers
We like to source our flowers locally and have built up great relationships with growers just a few miles from our studio. This means a lot to us and is a much more sustainable way of creating wedding flowers.
UK growers do have the weather against them and a limited growing season from March to October. With this in mind, not everything can be guaranteed at a given time and so we do also have excellent sources further afield, if needed.
The Drying Barn
At the heart of a historic and expansive estate in Hackthorn, our floral studio is a place where dreams, ideas and gorgeous blooms can flourish. Our creative space gives us the perfect environment for consultations and designing wedding florals, and an abundance of inspiration from the idyllic countryside setting.
